A friend from Cameroon
About a week ago, I went to Palembang, my hometown for administrative stuff. But for some reasons, I also arranged my time to meet up with some people. Both of them were my teacher: at school and at course.
I told them about my work, discussed about some things I’m confused of, asked for their advices and opinions. I was fulfilled with positive energy. Up to this stage, I believe that I’m right to find these people to talk to. Because when you’re down, try this tips: find anyone who’s successful and positive to lift you up with their positive energy. If they can’t, at least they won’t drag you lower from where you stand up.
But, today is more amazing.. Accidentally, I met Charly in YM, one of the CSers I met a year ago in Bandung. When I tell him that I dont like what I’m doing, simple advice from him is just, “Then do something else. Come and teach English here.”
Talking to positive people will make life much more easier..
I just remember few things about him, but all of them are positive. He is just an ordinary man, originally from Cameroon, but now live in Bangkok, black ppl, with white teeth (haha), not too tall, not scary, but the most I remember that, he’s full of passion, do believe that every ppl can do everything they love. At that time, he’s in the middle of participation in International Youth Seminar held in KAA, Bandung. I always remember his words, “Diana, do everything as crazy as you can in your twentieth. This is our time..”
He is a DJ, and when I asked him why does he DJ-ing? His answer is simple, I love music so much.. Love this answer!!!!
Checking out his website (believe me, read it!) takes me back to a year ago when I met him. I read on his activities. What the hell,.. he’s so full with participation in social activities, his loving the music, and his teaching.. HIV campaign, NGOs and Associations, fulfilled by everything meaningful in his youth, and it keeps going., because tonight he’s off to America for United Nations Youth Seminar.. Arrrgh.. I shout because I have met him and I’m sure he’s just an ordinary youth like me, like you, and like everybody else.. Why does he can make it and we have not? I am one of those who does not believe in lucky, but I believe in hard work. The only answer for this question is that, he fight harder than us, he started sooner than us, but it’s not been too late to do what he told me: This is our time.. Act now for our future, in our twentieth. Do everything you love, and fight the best of it..
Charly has just said it again through my YM: It will occur. Just work your ass off..
Anyway, thanks Charly ;P
PS: This is one of the reason why I love CS, you’ll find many extraordinary people along the way

Kali ini, gw akan menulis blog dalam bahasa Indonesia, yah campur dikit2 lah Inggris yaa, hehe.. Kali ini jg, gw ga akan jump to too details about the trip itself just some brief, but more on what I get from the trip. Banyak sekali Saudara2, dunia yang belum kita lihat di luar sana.. SHOULD & MUST GO FOR IT, TO TRAVEL ALONE ABROAD!! Yah, tapi tiap orang kan beda tipe, ini mgkn akan encouraging buat yang suka tantangan, travel, or kinda things. Tp buat renungan jg ok. Never wrong to learn from others, rite?

CS Gathering, 13 July 2008
AV Chiwalk, 13 July 2008, 5 pm-7 pm
“Wohohooo.. Tralala..”, Karin and Dimas sang loudly like crazy couple. Ok, I didn’t know the song and it sounds like kinda ballerina song, or classic or whatever it is, I don’t really care, so I just had my “Oo..” face and smiled when I was hearing their singing. When I went to karaoke with my friends, either from the same major in univ or from the same hometown with me, we’re always singing quite same songs. But when I hang out with these people from CS, with our different background, it’s kinda make me smile by myself when I see Read the rest of this entry »
My 1st traveling (CS) experience
Being
a part of CS (CouchSurfing) traveling community is just like finding my real soul: Traveling all around the world in tight budget, living in a totally-not-hotel
place, getting to the very-local-place-and-stuffs, tasting other places’ local
food, do some adventure, seeing everything I’ve never seen, feeling the air in
another part of the globe.. I don’t want to be a good girl sitting inside the
house, I want to feel and experience the world out there. I can say that I
prefer to be Xena than Cinderella, Read the rest of this entry »
